As the EH&S Coordinator, you’ll be the site’s go-to resource for OSHA and EPA compliance, risk reduction, training, and continuous improvement. You’ll partner closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Leadership to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace.
What You’ll Do
Safety & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S programs including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Emergency Response.
- Conduct routine facility inspections, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments to uncover and address potential risks.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Deliver engaging safety training for employees, contractors, and new hires.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by coaching teams and reinforcing best practices.
- Lead incident, near-miss, and injury investigations.
- Maintain OSHA logs, prepare regulatory reports, and track key EH&S performance metrics.
- Manage environmental compliance programs including waste management, air and water permitting, and spill prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement of environmental controls.
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to integrate safe work practices into daily activities and long-term planning.
- Support CI projects that improve safety performance and reduce environmental impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
- 3 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with welding operations, furnaces, and heavy equipment is a strong plus.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required; CSP or CIH credentials are a bonus.
- Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001, and ANSI standards.
- Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills—comfortable working on the plant floor and partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EH&S management systems/software.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.
- Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
