The Americas Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the commercial strategy across the Americas. This role drives regional revenue growth, builds high-performing sales teams, strengthens customer relationships, and ensures alignment with the global sales strategy set by the Director of Global Sales. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep market knowledge, and a track record of delivering scalable and sustainable sales performance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute the Americas sales strategy in alignment with global sales objectives.
- Work with Executives to set annual and quarterly sales targets, forecasts, and territory plans.
- Analyze market trends, customer segments, and competitive activity to identify new growth opportunities.
- Provide regular insights, reporting, and recommendations to the Director of Global Sales.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team, ensuring clarity of goals, KPIs, and accountability.
- Recruit and onboard top sales talent as needed.
- Build a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate training and development to ensure product knowledge and consultative selling skills.
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, integrators, OEM partners, and strategic accounts, along with Sales Account Managers.
- Support complex sales cycles, negotiations, and executive-level discussions.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Set up meetings with potential clients through various means, including cold calling, using marketing tools, social media, existing company relationships, and a personal network.
- Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and partner engagements.
Sales Operations & Performance Management
- Manage regional sales budgets, pricing strategies, and incentive plans.
- Oversee pipeline management and deal reviews to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation, product launches, and regional campaigns.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams to support forecasting, inventory planning, and product feedback loops.
- Provide reporting and analytics to support sales growth and profitability goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Ensure regional alignment with global initiatives, including product strategy, channel strategy, and revenue operations.
- Participate in global sales leadership meetings; share best practices and regional insights.
- Support global reporting, dashboards, and sales process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred
- 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in sales leadership roles
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets within North America
- Strong understanding of channel sales, distributors, OEMs, and direct customer sales
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel up to 40% within North America and internationally as needed
- PoS or IT industry experience preferred, with insights into how the marketplace is evolving towards future opportunities
Salary : $120,000 - $155,000
