Job Description:
The Role
EMC is looking for a Senior Technology Security Engineer to own the design, build, and ongoing support of their Privileged Access Management program, built on the Idira Identity Security Platform (formerly CyberArk). This is a hands-on engineering seat with real ownership — you'll be the go-to PAM subject matter expert across the enterprise, partnering with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to secure privileged accounts across servers, services, and cloud environments.
You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and risk: building and configuring the platform, but also advising stakeholders, leading audit and assessment efforts, and setting the direction for where identity security goes next at EMC.
What You'll Do
- Engineer the PAM platform. Design, deploy, and maintain Idira across EMC's IT ecosystem — infrastructure, servers, services, and privileged accounts — and troubleshoot complex issues end to end.
- Lead complex security projects. Serve as the security lead on enterprise initiatives, assessing impacts and dependencies, driving deliverables, and evaluating new tooling to shape the identity roadmap.
- Own risk and audit. Identify and document complex IT risks, recommend treatment, coordinate remediation, and act as primary contact for internal and third-party risk assessments and audits.
- Consult and enable. Provide technical guidance, lead troubleshooting and knowledge-transfer sessions, and act as the main security point of contact during project planning and implementation.
- Automate and document. Build automated processes for consistent event handling, and maintain policies, procedures, and standards through their full review and approval lifecycle.
- Manage tools and vendors. Oversee assigned security tools and vendor lifecycle — roadmap reviews, renewals, and purchases through EMC's procurement process.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in information security, IT, or related field — or equivalent experience
- 8 years in information security, IAM, or related roles, including 4 years specifically in information security (Master's degree 6 years also considered)
- Expert-level, hands-on experience implementing the Idira Identity Security Platform (CyberArk)
- Strong Active Directory administration: user accounts, groups, OUs, domain controllers, Sites/Services, GPOs
- Strong Azure/Entra ID administration: user accounts, groups, Enterprise Application configuration (SSO, SAML, OIDC), MFA policies
- Deep command of IAM concepts: segregation of duties, RBAC, MFA, least privilege, user lifecycle management, SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth
- Working knowledge of PowerShell, Graph API, and Python scripting
- Strong Windows and Linux fundamentals, including file and folder access administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you'll be translating security requirements for EMC engineers regularly
- Proven discretion handling sensitive terminations and account changes
- Security certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, Security , CEH, GSEC, AWS, or Azure
- Experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud
- Secure cloud experience in AWS (IAM, EC2, Lambda, S3), Azure, or GCP
- GitHub Enterprise, Atlassian (Bitbucket/Bamboo/Confluence), SharePoint
- Prior experience in the insurance industry
