Sr Software Engineer

Location: Findlay, Ohio (Onsite)

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a background in Software Development, strong Azure skills, DevSecOps knowledge, and an understanding of application security best practices. Leadership and communication skills are essential. This role involves championing Software Development with best practices, continuous improvement, AI, and automation to drive innovation and ensure development processes are efficient and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset, usage of AI, and automation of software engineering processes.
  • Drive process excellence and innovative Software Engineering by empowering others and collaborating.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and accelerate software engineering maturity.
  • Lead medium complexity features from technical design through completion.
  • Execute a defined software engineering roadmap, contributing to the organization's engineering and technology strategy.
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the software development lifecycle and agile engineering best practices.
  • Work with users to translate designs and solution architecture into design specifications.
  • Organize the delivery of high-quality solutions, setting effort estimates and collaborating on specifications.
  • Coordinate and implement new architectures, standards, and logic for enterprise software.
  • Partner with the architecture organization to design, modernize, and implement applications.
  • Ensure proper documentation of software design and work with business partners to implement solutions.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: 5 years of relevant IT experience is required.

Technical Skills: Experience as a full-stack developer, with a focus on the Microsoft programming technology stack, including C#, BLAZOR, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies, software release management, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Background and experience in the Oil & Gas Commercial industry.
  • AZ-204 Certification is highly desired.
  • Python Proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience with VGL (Visual Graphics Language) for the development and customization of automated Sample Manager LIMS workflows.
