Apex Systems is currently hiring for a SQL Developer for a large financial company.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to join a small, highly collaborative team. This team supports and enhances several critical internal applications that improve operational efficiency across the organization. The team is intentionally lean—five developers supporting four core applications—making this role highly visible and impactful. The primary focus is on SQL database development and SSIS package creation, with an emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and shared ownership of systems. Candidates who thrive in close-knit teams, communicate effectively, and take pride in building dependable solutions will do well in this role.

Requirements
- 3 years of SQL Server development experience
- 1 year of SSIS development and deployment experience
- 3 years developing stored procedures from simple to highly complex
- Strong focus on code quality and testing
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
- Experience working in an Agile environment (2 years preferred)
- Familiarity with Jira for managing work and delivery
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Location: Charlotte, NC / Jacksonville, FL
Onsite expectation: 3 days on-site
Pay range: $55-$65/hour
