Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA to participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex databases. This role is considered the subject matter expert for the team and involves managing multiple projects and directing team activities for special initiatives. The position requires working with minimal supervision on complex problems where in-depth analysis is necessary to obtain results.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: 10 years of experience in SQL Server Administration.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL Server, including AlwaysOn performance and tuning for large, high-tier environments.
Preferred Qualifications
This position requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $65.13 per hour. - Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies.
- Manage multiple, moderately complex projects and direct team activities.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for SQL Server administration.
- Conduct performance and tuning for AlwaysOn in large, high-tier environments.
- Analyze situations or data that require an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices to select methods and techniques for obtaining results.
- Provide work leadership by assigning tasks and resolving problems.
Experience: 10 years of experience in SQL Server Administration.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL Server, including AlwaysOn performance and tuning for large, high-tier environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the banking industry, particularly on the application DBA side.
- Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting (Shell, Python).
- Experience automating operational tasks, monitoring, and maintenance activities related to NoSQL environments.
- A strong sense of problem ownership and client accountability.
