Senior Solutions Engineer (Cloud & DevOps Infrastructure)
Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Role Overview
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will interface with customers to identify their needs and collaborate with various departments, including network engineers, support, and operations, to enhance the customer experience. This role involves balancing project aspects from safety to design, researching advanced technology for best practices, and finding cost-effective solutions. You will work alongside other professionals to meet customer needs, leveraging a holistic understanding of both operational and project scope aspects.
Key Responsibilities
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas, particularly within financial domains. This includes at least 5 years of hands-on job skills in the specified technical areas. The role requires working during onshore hours from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure hardware is available and functioning correctly for projects.
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, including time and scope.
- Assist other engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions.
- Establish a framework for contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration.
- Analyze current technologies and develop processes for improvement.
- Document and monitor requirements for proposed updates related to customer experience.
- Work with project management teams to monitor the progress and implementation of initiatives.
- Account for possible project challenges and proactively seek to manage them.
- Gather configurations from existing infrastructure such as servers, firewalls, load balancers, and application middleware.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Technical Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations, including testing INFRA modules.
- Proficiency in DevOps/CloudOps with provisioning and configuration management technologies.
- Hands-on expertise with Ansible Playbook and XLR.
- System administration skills for Windows and RHEL Operating Systems.
- Strong skills as a Windows SysAdmin and IIS Admin.
- Knowledge of managing data on RDBMS, including data analytics.
- PowerShell scripting capabilities.
- Knowledge of application containers (.NET/IIS).
- Experience with JAVA Full Stack Development on UNIX & Windows.
- Experience with Windows automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bladelogic).
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred.
- Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure.
- Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
- Project development and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with application middleware architecture (IIS/.NET) on Java, network architecture, and hardware architecture.
