Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead to join our team. In this player-coach role, you will guide a Scrum team while remaining hands-on with coding and development. The position requires a balance of approximately 60% leadership, design, and team guidance with 40% hands-on coding. Your focus will be on backend systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure, with some exposure to conversational AI products.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a Scrum team, guiding best practices, optimizing development, and resolving technical challenges.
- Own critical components of the software stack, ensuring the long-term quality of architecture, design, and code.
- Perform hands-on design and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Partner with product owners to align technical solutions with business objectives and deliver new features end-to-end.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement and refining development workflows.
- Mentor team members and contribute to the technical growth of the development team.
- Ensure operational excellence by assisting with the deployment and maintenance of large-scale software in a production environment.
- Promote a culture of quality, including unit testing and clear problem-solving documentation.
- 5 years of experience designing and building software engineering solutions, with a focus on backend development in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in one or more software languages, such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Demonstrated experience with APIs, microservices, and modern software architecture patterns.
- 2 years of experience in a technical leadership capacity, including mentoring, design ownership, or influencing technical decisions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and their practical applications.
- Experience developing or supporting voice and text chatbots.
- An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field.
