Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Wilmington, DE/Iselin, NJ

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $65/hr - $67/hr

Role Overview

In this role, you will consult on and support moderately complex Agile initiatives, contributing to large-scale planning and Scrum delivery. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will drive delivery readiness, execution discipline, and release coordination to enable consistent, high-quality outcomes. You will act as a delivery leader, ensuring backlog health, sprint execution, dependency management, and adherence to SDLC and governance practices within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives, with a focus on delivery outcomes.
  • Own delivery readiness by ensuring backlog items are prioritized, refined, and dependency-cleared.
  • Drive sprint and release planning for 30, 60, and 90-day horizons using capacity and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate end-to-end release management, including testing, validation, approvals, and deployment activities.
  • Track and interpret delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and predictability to proactively address risks.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and impediments across multiple teams, maintaining transparency and escalating issues.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to align scope, sequencing, and priorities with delivery capacity.
  • Ensure alignment with SDLC, risk, security, and governance requirements.
  • Provide release support coverage as needed, including participation in planned release activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and outcome-driven execution across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or a similar role in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence, including backlog management, dashboards, and reporting.
  • 5 years of experience supporting end-to-end delivery, including planning, execution, and release coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage delivery risk, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  • Experience in the financial services industry or a regulated environment.
  • A strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and release management practices.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
