Senior Project Manager

Location: San Antonio, Texas (hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

On site requirement: 4 days on site, 1 day remote

Contract Length: 6 months – potential to extend or convert

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a Digital Messaging team focused on improving communications across digital channels. This role will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives to enhance message clarity, personalization, and performance using data-driven insights. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized project manager with a proven track record in improving customer communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enhancement of high-volume, call-driving message templates to improve clarity and effectiveness, in partnership with business, content, and experience experts.
  • Oversee the transformation of online document notifications, incorporating personalized and actionable content to drive engagement.
  • Complete comprehensive member journey mappings for all lines of business products, identifying opportunities for template enhancement or obsolescence.
  • Utilize performance data to inform and update digital messaging and document standards in partnership with product teammates and content experts.
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators, including volume of template enhancements, message volume, click-through rates, and opt-out impacts.
  • Manage project workflows in Jira, including task assignment, status updates, and daily stand-ups.
  • Collaborate using Microsoft tools and Box to review message templates, document enhancements, and journey mapping artifacts.
  • Analyze messaging performance using available analytics tools to identify trends and inform optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience managing complex, multi-initiative projects from inception to completion, with a strong focus on Agile methodologies and risk management.
  • 5 years of experience developing and implementing digital messaging strategies, including content personalization, journey mapping, and A/B testing.
  • 4 years of experience defining KPIs, analyzing message performance data (e.g., click-through rates, opt-out rates), and deriving actionable insights.

Technical Skills:

  • Jira workflow management
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Box

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles as they apply to digital messaging.
  • A passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools.
