Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - System Migration & Data Reporting
Key Responsibilities
Data Source Analysis & Migration Planning
- Analyze existing reports and dashboards to identify current mainframe CIS and legacy application data dependencies
- Assist with mapping legacy data sources to new SAP ISU and Salesforce equivalents
- Collaborate with IT teams to understand data normalization and transformation processes in Redshift
- Document data lineage and create migration roadmaps for critical reporting assets
- Design and execute comprehensive data reconciliation processes between legacy mainframe and new SAP/SF data models
- Develop validation frameworks to certify data accuracy across different systems
- Create comparative analysis reports to identify and resolve data discrepancies during parallel operations
- Establish ongoing data quality monitoring processes post-migration
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries t to extract data for new reports and dashboards
- Rebuild existing reporting solutions leveraging new data sources
- Develop new analytics capabilities leveraging enhanced data availability from SAP and Salesforce
- Partner with business users to understand reporting requirements and validate migrated solutions
- Create comprehensive documentation for new data sources and reporting methodologies
- 3-5 years of experience with enterprise system migrations
- Proven experience with data reconciliation and validation during system conversions
- Strong analytical skills with ability to navigate complex data model differences
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in cloud data warehouses
- Experience working with mainframe data sources and modern ERP systems (SAP knowledge highly valued)
- Expert-level SQL proficiency for complex data extraction and analysis
- Experience with AWS Redshift or similar cloud data warehouse platforms
- Knowledge of SAP data models and/or Salesforce data architecture preferred
- Familiarity with data validation methodologies and reconciliation processes
- Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Understanding of utility billing data structures and customer information systems
- System Migration Experience: Must have successfully managed data reporting transitions during large-scale system conversions
- Data Reconciliation Expertise: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies between different system architectures
- Technical Problem-Solving: Strong capability to navigate complex data model differences and develop creative solutions
- Detail-Oriented Validation: Meticulous approach to data certification and quality assurance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with IT, business users, and vendor teams
- Previous utility industry system migration projects
- Experience with mainframe-to-modern system data conversions
- SAP ISU or other utility billing system knowledge
- Salesforce data architecture and reporting capabilities
- AWS cloud platform experience
