Location: Charlotte, NC, Iselin, NJ and Irving, TX (Hybrid)
Employment Type: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate - $53.00 and $57.00 per hour
Role Overview
In this contingent resource assignment, the Software Engineer will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing complex engineering challenges, contributing to issue resolution, and collaborating with others to meet deliverables while ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: 4 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills:
The pay rate for this position is between $53.00 and $57.00 per hour. Contract duration is 12 months with potential for extension or conversion. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Define target architectures, reference designs, and engineering roadmaps.
- Participate in architecture reviews and cross-domain integrations.
- Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and reliable system designs.
- Deliver production systems in Python/Java on OCP/Kubernetes.
- Build LLM-powered features using Gemini, GPT, RAG, and tool/function calling.
- Design evaluation frameworks including golden sets, offline/online tests, guardrails, and SLIs.
- Build agent workflows using LangChain and Google AIDK/Vertex AI agents.
- Embed security and compliance controls into pipelines and runtime environments.
- Decompose ambiguous problems, run spikes, and present trade-off-based solutions.
- Own and improve SDLC processes such as branching, code review quality, testing, and release management.
- Define SLOs/SLIs and instrument services with OpenTelemetry/Prometheus.
- Champion SRE practices and incident readiness/post-incident learning.
Experience: 4 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills:
- Technical architecture, including target architectures, reference designs, and cross-domain integrations.
- System design and delivery in Python/Java on OCP/Kubernetes.
- AI/LLM solutioning with Gemini, GPT, RAG, prompting, and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain and Google AIDK/Vertex AI agents.
- Security and compliance by design, including SBOMs, supply chain checks, secrets, and policies.
- Ambiguity-resolution skills demonstrated through spikes, trade-off analysis, and decision-making.
- End-to-end SDLC ownership including branching, versioning, test strategy, and release management.
- Operational excellence with SLOs/SLIs, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and SRE practices.
- Experience with incident readiness and post-incident learning leadership.
