Job Description:
We are immediately looking for a qualified Lab Analyst for one of our clients, a well-established Chemical Manufacturing facility in the Middleport, NY area.
This position will be responsible for conducting analytical testing on compounds and raw materials. The Analyst will compile and summarize the results into clear reports. Calibration of analytical equipment will also be required of the incumbent. PPE includes gloves, lab coats, glasses, goggles.

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for conducting analytical testing on compounds and raw materials. The Analyst will compile and summarize the results into clear reports. Calibration of analytical equipment will also be required of the incumbent. PPE includes gloves, lab coats, glasses, goggles.
Daily activities:
- Preform tests on samples of raw materials and finished product using a full range of analytical equipment.
- Record data and summarize it to be presented to the proper personnel.
- Prepare and install LC columns.
- Conduct special testing and analysis in conjunction with new product development, trouble-shooting of complaint samples and investigation/analysis of off-spec products and raw materials
- Collect, record, analyze and maintain environmental and industrial hygiene samples.
Requirements:
BS/BA in Chemistry or equivalent preferred; Associate's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
Qualifications:
- Chemical manufacturing and wet chemical techniques highly preferred.
- Experience in spectroscopy and analytical chemistry and SPC skills preferred.
- Good computer skills (MS Office and MS Outlook) with SAP working knowledge preferred.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills
- Demonstrated sound decision making, problem solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure
