Infrastructure SDET - Enterprise Ordering Platform
Overview
Chipotle is hiring an Infrastructure SDET to support the rollout of next-generation ordering systems across 4,000 restaurant locations. This role focuses on building and scaling automated testing frameworks that validate system reliability, performance, and infrastructure readiness in real-world environments.
This is a 4 day a week onsite role.

Overview
Chipotle is hiring an Infrastructure SDET to support the rollout of next-generation ordering systems across 4,000 restaurant locations. This role focuses on building and scaling automated testing frameworks that validate system reliability, performance, and infrastructure readiness in real-world environments.
This is a 4 day a week onsite role.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks using TypeScript and Playwright
- Develop end-to-end, integration, and infrastructure-level tests for distributed systems
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Validate cloud-based systems (AWS/Azure) for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to test strategy, design, and architecture
- Implement test reporting and dashboards for coverage, defects, and performance visibility
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to embed testing into the development lifecycle
- Evaluate tools and improve automation maturity across the platform
- Support observability-driven testing (logs, metrics, traces) to identify production risks
- 5-8 years in SDET / QA Automation Engineering
- Strong experience with:
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- Playwright, Cypress, or similar modern frameworks
- Hands-on experience testing cloud-based systems (AWS or Azure)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD-integrated test suites
- Understanding of test strategy, test architecture, and automation best practices
- Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, etc.) is a plus
- Strong collaboration skills in Agile environments
