Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Examine customer account activity and transaction patterns to identify indicators of potential financial crime.
Assess client behavior, profile information, and supporting data to evaluate risks related to money laundering or other illicit activity.
Coordinate with frontline and client‑facing teams to obtain additional details needed to complete thorough case reviews.
Record findings, research steps, and conclusions clearly and accurately within the case management system.
Elevate matters that require deeper analysis to investigative leads or senior investigators for advanced review and potential regulatory reporting.
Escalate complex, high‑risk, or unusual cases to management when additional oversight or guidance is necessary.
Ensure all work aligns with BSA/AML, OFAC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain strong productivity and quality levels while managing an active caseload.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current on regulatory updates, typologies, and emerging financial crime risks.
Monitor shared inboxes, respond to internal and external inquiries promptly, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Act as a communication bridge between investigative teams and client‑resolution partners to support coordinated case handling.
Must‑Have Qualifications
Demonstrated experience conducting AML or financial‑crime investigations consistent with the responsibilities listed above.
Strong analytical, research, and documentation abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex information and draw sound conclusions.
Ability to navigate and remain proficient in a large suite of systems and applications used to retrieve and review customer information (approximately 35 tools).
Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment with time‑sensitive cases and shifting priorities.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to engage with branch personnel and other internal partners to gather additional client details when needed.
