Field Installation Project Manager (Contract)

Contract Length: 9 months

Location: Nationwide travel (US‑based candidates only)

Work Model: Onsite / Field‑based (no remote)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday (flexible hours; occasional weekends)

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Field Installation Project Manager to support large‑scale workstation and equipment installations across multiple sites in North America. This is a highly visible, execution‑focused role within a fast‑paced Workplace Health & Safety organization, ideal for candidates who enjoy being onsite, leading vendors, and driving projects to completion.

This role offers hands‑on ownership of impactful projects that improve employee safety, optimize workplace environments, and deliver measurable results at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of workstation decommissioning and installation projects
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for third‑party vendors and installers
  • Travel to project sites and lead execution during critical install phases
  • Conduct site kick‑off calls, coordinate timelines, and manage installation readiness
  • Track vendor progress, resolve issues in real time, and ensure timelines stay on track
  • Sign off on completed installs and validate final checklists for project acceptance
  • Coordinate closely with site leadership, operations, IT, safety, and procurement teams
  • Manage equipment ordering and procurement workflows
  • Provide progress updates, metrics, and reporting for leadership and project stakeholders

Projects typically span 4–6 weeks per site, with responsibility for 1–2 concurrent sites.

Travel & Schedule Expectations

  • 60–75% travel required across the United States
  • Mandatory onsite presence during the first week of each project
  • Potential onsite presence during final week for handoff and close‑out
  • Flexible schedule based on site needs, including early mornings, late afternoons, and occasional weekend work
  • Some days may extend to 10–12 hours depending on project phase

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of project management experience, preferably in field‑based environments
  • Proven vendor or contractor management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams or sites simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Clear, professional communication skills; comfortable interfacing with senior leaders
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast‑paced, changing environments
  • Flexibility with travel and working hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with installations, deployments, construction, or facilities projects
  • Familiarity with procurement and ordering workflows (e.g., Coupa or similar tools)
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • Background in large‑scale operations, logistics, or engineering environments
  • Interest in safety, ergonomics, or applied workplace technology
