Overview
We are seeking a Critical Environments (CE) Technician – Mechanical to support the safe and reliable operation of mechanical systems within a data center environment. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and responding to issues related to cooling and mechanical infrastructure to ensure continuous uptime.
Shift: Th-Sat (every other Wednesday) 12 hr shifts 6a-6p
Rates: Will be based on qualifications, experience, and certifications but can expect to range from $42-$53.25/hr

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, and associated equipment
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and escalations to maintain critical uptime
- Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Assist vendors and contractors during on-site work
- Follow all safety, compliance, and change management procedures
- Document work performed and report system status to leadership
- Experience working in a data center, critical facility, or industrial environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling, pumps, air handling)
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
- Strong attention to safety and compliance
- Comfortable working shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call rotations
- Previous Critical Environments, Facilities, or Mechanical Technician experience
- HVAC or mechanical certifications or training
- Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure
- Data center environment requiring PPE
- Standing, walking, lifting, and equipment operation may be required
