Job Description:

Our Cambridge based client is seeking a detail‑oriented, compassionate Patient Support Specialist to join their Patient Services team and help ensure patients receive timely, seamless access to the therapies they need.

In this role, you’ll support patients throughout their treatment journey, collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, and contribute to a best‑in‑class patient support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Apply program business rules and work instructions to deliver a consistent, high‑quality service experience for patients.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Support Manager team to stay current on access processes, healthcare systems, insurance plans, payer trends, and patient/financial assistance programs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Use CRM reporting tools and data analytics to guide strategic decisions, prioritize patient needs, and support medication initiation and adherence.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and success of patient services programs.
  • Day‑to‑day responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting Specialty Pharmacy partners by entering case review data for weekly calls
  • Tracking patient shipments and medication on hand to proactively offer refill support
  • Sending intentional, targeted outreach via contracted platforms to inform patients of available resources
  • Assisting the Patient Support Manager team with outreach throughout the patient journey, including Welcome Calls, Refill Reminders, and more

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in rare, ultra‑rare, or genetic diseases
  • Knowledge of private payer, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid structures, systems, and reimbursement processes
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
