Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Counter Sales Associate assists customers with their purchases of plumbing products and industrial supplies. Provides customers with accurate and timely information regarding product availability, pricing and delivery. Maintains a high level of product knowledge and attends all assigned product knowledge meetings. Works and interacts with all employees, customers and vendors in a way that models and supports the company’s values.

Job Details

• Job Type: Full Time, temporary to permanent
• Pay: $17.00/hour based on experience.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8am - 5pm with Alternating Saturdays: 8am - Noon

Job Requirements

• Customer service/retail experience
• Professional and friendly
• Desire to provide exceptional customer service and build business relationships
• Desire to advance within the company
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must have valid DL
• 2 years plumbing experience or plumbing supply industry knowledge a plus but not required
• Proficient in the following competencies as tested by a skills assessment- Basic Math, Email Etiquette, Customer Service and General Typing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist customers on a busy sales counter
• Process customer orders
• Pull and load material for customers
• Handle telephone orders and inquiries
• Help maintain the warehouse and store cleanliness.
• Receive and put away stock
• Maintain store cleanliness
• Customer deliveries and product pickups
• Perform other duties as assigned by Branch Manager

Education

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience

• Retail sales: 2 years (Preferred)
• Plumbing: 2 years (Preferred)

Language

• English (Required)
• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification

• Drivers License (Required)
