- Demonstrates exceptional customer service to our walk-in, phone, and will call customers.
- Orders products, arranges delivery, contacts customers regarding delivery and updates customers on order status.
- Serves as point of contact for escalation issues.
- Provides training and support to new counter staff.
- Acts as liaison between supervisor and customers.
- Ensures purchase orders are completed.
- Upsells by identifying related products, add-on extensions and making customers aware of product promotions.
- Ensures merchandise displays are stocked and clean.
- Generally, has 7 years of experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Strong experience in counter sales, customer service, or a related customer-facing role
- Experience handling complex customer issues or escalations and driving resolution
- Ability to train and support team members while contributing to daily operations
- Proficiency with sales order systems or ERP tools (e.g., Oracle or similar)
- Solid understanding of construction or industrial products and related applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, including order processing, customer follow-up, and in-store support
- Proven ability to recommend products, upsell effectively, and support margin goals
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build customer relationships
