Steel Erectors for Structural Steel

Our jobs are permanent jobs for employees who want a CAREER, not a temporary job. Our projects normally do not last more than couple of months, sometimes only a couple of days on the same location ,but we always have more work available to us than we can do. This is why we are always growing which gives our employees plenty of room for advancement within our company . 98% of all of our work is located in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, therefore you will be home with your family and friends every night.

Our current work load can be on new buildings, remodels or additions, upfits, consisting of Commercial, Industrial and Residential Projects both Private and Public.

All of our projects are local and we rarely work outside of NC (Eastern) We do not hire for specific projects. (No peridium) We are looking full time permanent employees to join our team here in the RTP area.

The following are the job responsibilities;

• Have knowledge of crane signals for lifts of steel components into position.
• Accurately aligning and leveling each steel component into place before bolting and or welding them into fixed positions
• Using mobile elevated work platforms, ladders, lifts as the structure gains height to access sections off the ground
• Laying metal decking and installing safety railing as the structure is built up or per job requirements
• Health and safety is very important, so strict adherence to safe working practices is essential at all times.
• Required;
• 5 years experience as a Structural Steel Erector (Ironworker)
• Welding experience a Plus
• Must have personal hand tools (Spud Wrench, Sleever Bar)
• Must be able to follow instruction by Foreman and or supervisor
• Have reliable transportation to and from job site(s) and be attentive to tight work schedules and work load.
• Must be able to accurately read and fully understand a tape measure and level
• Read and Write the English Language
• Pass - Physical fitness test and drug testing
• Live within 60 miles of Raleigh NC
• OSHA 10 Certification Card (A Plus)
• Must be Eligible to work in the US (e-verification)
• Must be able to endure outside weather conditions (Hot & Cold)

Good practical skills for using tools, logic and good problem solving ability, good listening skills and the ability to follow verbal instructions, good physical fitness and agility, a sense of balance and head for heights, an accurate, organized and methodical approach to work, a good team worker, an awareness and respect for health and safety working practices.

Located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Raleigh is located in central NC, and is part of what is known as(RTP) The Research Triangle Park, including the cities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. We are home to some of the finest local schools, world renowned Colleges and hospitals in the nation including such places as Duke University and hospital, (UNC) University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hospital, and NC State University. RDU International Airport is also conveniently located in Raleigh. If you travel east from Raleigh, in 3 hours you can enjoy some of the best beaches in the world, including the NC Outer Banks ,Crystal Coast, and Myrtle Beach. If you travel west in 3 hours you can enjoy the Appalachian mountains, including The Great Smoky Mountains.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
