Procurement Specialist

Overview

Apex Service Partners is the national leader in residential home services, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions. Our Midwest Region operates a $400M P&L with 20 warehouse locations, serving thousands of customers with excellence and reliability. Based on our growth, we are looking for a Procurement Specialist to help support our brands in Illinois, Wisconsin & Minnesota.

As a Market Area Procurement Specialist, you’ll be the boots-on-the-ground resource for procurement in your assigned market area. Reporting to the Director of Procurement with a dotted line to the Market Area leadership team, you’ll work closely with suppliers, local teams, and leadership to implement initiatives, resolve issues, and ensure procurement processes are understood and followed. Your work will directly impact cost efficiency, supplier performance, and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships within the market area
• Conduct cost reviews, supplier audits, and counter visit audits
• Implement regional and national procurement initiatives with local market teams
• Represent the market area in procurement discussions and negotiations
• Support procurement activities during M&A transitions
• Drive process adherence and supplier performance improvements
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field
• 1–2 years of procurement or supply chain experience
• Strong negotiation, communication, and process-focused mindset
• Assertive, detail-oriented, and able to closely support Market leadership team
• Ability to travel regularly within the market area
  
  

Travel Expectations

• Travel to each local site once per quarter (approx. 25% travel)
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Target total compensation: $65,000-$80,000 (base bonus) based on experience
• Bonus opportunities tied to regional performance and cost savings
• Fleet or rental vehicle provided for travel
