Role Description The Skilled Trades Electrical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Charleston, SC. In this position, the technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in residential and/or commercial settings, following safety codes, regulations, and company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine electrical maintenance, diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting system failures, and replacing or repairing faulty components. The technician will read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, and collaborate with other trades professionals and team members to complete projects on time and within scope. The role also involves communicating clearly with customers, documenting work performed, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting a safe, clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical maintenance skills, including preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical systems and components.
- Solid understanding of electricity fundamentals, electrical theory, and applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
- Proven troubleshooting skills to diagnose, isolate, and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely.
- Experience working with electrical equipment such as panels, circuit breakers, motors, lighting systems, and control devices.
- Background in electrical engineering principles or formal technical training related to electrical systems is preferred.
- Relevant certification, license, or apprenticeship completion as an Electrical Technician or Electrician (state or local requirements as applicable).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, and to use electrical testing and measurement tools accurately.

- Effective communication skills, professional customer service mindset, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
