We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join an established construction company specializing in residential and multifamily mechanical and plumbing projects. Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Bidding:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing packages on residential and multifamily projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive bid proposals
- Support business development efforts with potential project values exceeding $100M annually
Leadership & Team Development:
- Grow into leading and mentoring a team of 2-3 estimating professionals
- Establish and maintain estimating standards and best practices
- Collaborate with project management and field operations teams
- Potential to transition into full-cycle project management role
Client Relations:
- Maintain relationships with established client base
- Support proposal presentations and client meetings
- Ensure estimates align with client expectations and project requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (NOT required)
- Minimum 4 years of construction estimating experience
- Strong background in mechanical and/or plumbing systems
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential and multifamily construction projects
- Knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and costs
- Experience with project management responsibilities
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
