Apex is excited to announce the opening of our new Lexington, KY office as we expand our plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services. We are looking for a dedicated plumber to support and grow our plumbing operations in the Lexington area.

Pay Range:

Option 1 - Performance Based

current employees are coming in around - $120,000 yearly /-

Hours: Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and on call rotation

Job Duties:

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
• Install and maintain gas lines
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems

Skills:

• Proven experience as a plumber
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
• Working knowledge of drains, water lines and ventilation systems as well as appliances
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly with a great deal of patience
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
• Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship
• Valid license to practice profession

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Valid Kentucky Journeyman plumbing license
• 2 years of experience in plumbing
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions
• Good communication skills with clients and other team members
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment
• Precision and attention to detail

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment
