APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Ossining, NY looking to add a Cyber Security Engineer to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to protect and maintain the security of computer systems, networks, and digital infrastructure. Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:
· Protect client computer systems, networks, and digital infrastructure from cyber threats and security breaches.
· Monitor network activity and security systems to identify vulnerabilities and suspicious activity.
· Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, protocols, and protective technologies.
· Respond to and investigate security incidents to minimize risk and operational impact.
· Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to strengthen system security.
· Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness and educational programs for employees and staff.
· Promote organization-wide IT security best practices and compliance standards.
· Collaborate with IT teams and leadership to support ongoing security initiatives and infrastructure protection.
What we are looking for:
· Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification required.
· 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity management.
· Solid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, network protocols, firewalls, and system patch management.
· Proven ability to identify, assess, and remediate potential security threats and breaches.
· Knowledge of information security policies, compliance, and regulatory standards, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
· Experience reviewing and evaluating vendor Information Security reports (SOC 2) during contract and risk assessment processes.
