Location: Troy, MI – Administration Headquarters

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and business-minded Chief Legal & Financial Officer (CLFO) to provide leadership in both legal case oversight and organizational financial management. This unique executive-level position combines legal knowledge, financial strategy, risk management, and business operations to support the organization’s continued success and long-term sustainability.

Our client provides specialized services to adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), including cognitive rehabilitation, day programming, and residential support services. The CLFO will play an important role in protecting the organization’s legal and financial interests while supporting efficient operations across its Michigan locations.

The ideal candidate will have a law degree (Juris Doctor), with preference given to candidates licensed to practice law in Michigan, and a strong background in business finance, accounting, or financial management. Candidates who have graduated from law school but have not yet passed the bar examination will also be considered, provided they possess the appropriate qualifications and understand the limitations applicable to unlicensed legal professionals.

This individual will oversee legal matters in coordination with outside counsel, monitor litigation and claims, assess organizational risks, and provide financial leadership through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to balance legal and financial priorities in a dynamic healthcare and rehabilitation services environment.
