Line Cook

The Line Cook at the golf course is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This position supports daily food service operations by ensuring high-quality, timely, and consistent food preparation while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards (daily).
• Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies and ingredients (daily).
• Assist with food prep including chopping, portioning, and storing ingredients (daily).
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations (daily).
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food storage areas (daily).
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely service (daily).
• Assist with inventory control, including labeling, dating, and rotating food products (weekly).
• Support special events, banquets, or tournaments as assigned (as needed).

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen equipment, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Food safety or ServSafe certification preferred.

No specific education requirements; previous food service or kitchen experience preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Activities
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in a commercial kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, noise, and food odors. Fast-paced conditions are common, particularly during peak service times and golf events.
