Commercial FF&E Installation Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise installation, assembly, and troubleshooting of FF&E items across commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all installations meet quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Duties

• Install, assemble, and secure furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of FF&E components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform installations on various surfaces including drywall, concrete, wood framing, and more.
• Conduct construction inspections to verify proper fit, finish, alignment, and safety compliance during each phase of installation.
• Perform construction site preparation tasks such as framing, caulking, plastering, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry work, and restoration as needed.
• Operate heavy machinery for lifting or moving large fixtures or materials safely around the site.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of installation milestones while maintaining high safety standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction management or related fields with a focus on commercial interior installations.
• Strong background in construction estimating and inspection processes.
• Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for precise installation work.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, masonry, welding, carpentry (including trim carpentry and frame carpentry), drywall finishing, stucco application, glass installation, cabinet hanging, door hanging, flooring installation (including tile), concrete finishing and forming.
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools essential for construction site work.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to operate heavy equipment responsibly.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
