Role Overview: Provides expert nursing care in Women and Infants units, including Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and NICU, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to standards such as AWHONN and AACN. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, prioritize wellness, and support positive outcomes. Assists in education and mentorship for new healthcare staff, fostering a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops care plans, and implements nursing interventions. Ensures safety and quality at the point of care, models proficiency, and promotes a patient-centered approach. Supports specialty education and competency validation through clinical educators.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have a nursing degree from an accredited program, valid RN licensure, and relevant certifications including NRP and ACLS. Minimum six months of Women and Infants nursing experience or completion of a fellowship. Strong clinical skills, ability to work night shifts, and commitment to ongoing learning are essential.
