The role involves participating in a regional on-call rotation for elective, emergent, and urgent cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative assessments and collaborate on care plans.
- Assist during surgery by handling instruments, providing exposure, controlling bleeding, suturing, and maintaining sterile technique according to standards.
- Evaluate patients post-operatively and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Support room preparation, patient positioning, and assistance with anesthesia and equipment.
- Assist with patient transfer, dressing, and room turnover, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Minimum two years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience or one year as an RNFA.
- Certification from an AORN-recognized RNFA program and Oregon RN license.
- Valid Nurse Operating Room Certificate and BLS certification.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and patient care standards.
- At least two years of RNFA practice, CRNFA certification, and ACLS certification.
