Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible, with successful certification within 6 months if applicable.
- Minimum of a master's degree from an accredited program (for recent graduates).
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited dietetics program and state licensure or certification.
- Preferred experience in clinical dietetics and managing diverse patient populations.
- Skills include medical nutrition therapy, physical assessment, nutrition diagnosis, education, critical thinking, customer service, communication, and computer proficiency.
- Conduct and document nutrition assessments and interpret lab values.
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition interventions based on patient needs and cultural considerations.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes related to nutrition plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
- Requires visual acuity, manual dexterity, and effective communication skills.
- May involve driving and frequent interactions with patients and staff.
