Growing Foot & Ankle surgical practice seeking a reliable, motivated Medical Assistant for a hybrid clinical and administrative role. This position supports both in-office patient care and some admin work as needed.
Ideal for someone organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule
Part-time
Clinic days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Additional flexible administrative hours (can include partial remote work)
Responsibilities
Clinical (In Office)
- Room patients and obtain vitals
- Assist with in-office procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies
- Assist with casting, splinting, and basic wound care
- Support physician with patient flow
Administrative / Coordination
- Coordinate surgical scheduling and pre-op clearances
- Track pending authorizations and follow up
- Verify insurance benefits
- Communicate with hospitals and surgery centers
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience required
- Prior authorization or surgery scheduling experience preferred
- Orthopedic / podiatry experience a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently
- EMR experience preferred
Compensation
Based on experience ($19-$22/hr)
