Quality Assurance & Control
- Perform in-process and final inspections of electrical control panels to ensure compliance with:
- Engineering drawings and schematics
- Project requirements
- Company quality standards
- Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances and corrective actions
- Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to build quality and workmanship
- Communicates with teams when panels are ready to be prepared for shipping
- Act as a primary trainer for electrical assembly and control panel build processes
- Work directly with employees during and after training to ensure understanding and skill development
- Validate employee competency by confirming mastery of tasks following training with a qualified employee
- Conduct hands-on evaluations to ensure employees can perform tasks independently and accurately
- Partner with supervisors and experienced team members to structure effective on-the-job training
- Identify skill gaps and provide coaching or retraining as needed
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training activities in collaboration with supervisors and leadership
- Ensure all required training, competency validations, and certifications are completed
- Submit completed training documentation and competency validations to HR for official recordkeeping
- Provide visibility to leadership on workforce readiness, training progress, and qualification status
- Evaluate employee skillsets, competency levels, and training status to support workforce planning
- Assist in assigning work based on skill mastery, training progression, and project requirements
- Break down project scope into labor and skill-based resource needs aligned with timelines
- Partner with production leadership to ensure proper staffing for efficiency and quality outcomes
- Support balancing workloads across teams based on capability and demand
- Maintain internal trackers for training progress, skill matrices, and competency status (non-HR records)
- Support updates to training matrices, qualification standards, and SOPs
- Identify and implement improvements in training methods, validation processes, and quality practices
- Support audit readiness by ensuring documentation is completed and properly submitted
- Maintains equipment specification sheets and calibration records
Education & Experience
3–5 years of experience in:
- Electrical panel building, controls, or industrial automation
- Quality inspection in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience training, mentoring, or leading others in a hands-on capacity strongly preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Solid understanding of control panel standards (UL knowledge preferred)
- Experience with training matrices, competency validation, and skill assessment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (HRIS/LMS exposure a plus)
- Hands-on leadership and coaching ability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to evaluate skill proficiency and ensure mastery
- Organization and follow-through on training and documentation
