Apex Clean Air is growing, and we’re looking for a highly experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician with at least 6 years of residential HVAC service experience.
This is not a beginner or intermediate position.
We’re looking for someone who can confidently diagnose difficult residential HVAC problems, support other technicians, help train our team, and play a major role in growing our service department.

- $80,000–$120,000 earning potential
- Approximately 4 calls per day
- Around 2 hours per service call
- Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM
- Every 4th Saturday/on-call rotation

We want our technicians to have enough time to diagnose systems correctly, communicate with the homeowner, and do quality work.

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
- Work on furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, mini splits, communicating systems, zoning, and IAQ
- Troubleshoot advanced electrical and airflow problems
- Provide technical support to other technicians
- Train and mentor developing technicians
- Assist with ride-alongs and service meetings
- Handle difficult callbacks and second opinions
- Perform quality-control inspections
- Document jobs accurately in ServiceTitan
- Explain repair and replacement options professionally to homeowners
What We’re Looking For
- 6 years of residential HVAC service experience
- EPA 608 Certification
- RMGA Certification
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Strong furnace, AC, heat-pump, and mini-split knowledge
- Ability to diagnose difficult and intermittent problems
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Positive, upbeat attitude
- Excited to train and help other technicians improve
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Comfortable using ServiceTitan and a tablet
- Your own HVAC hand tools and everyday service ladders
Previous lead, trainer, or supervisor experience is a big plus.
Sales experience is also a plus, but technical ability comes first.
