Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator / Remote
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support Linux-based servers and systems. The ideal candidate will ensure system performance, security, and availability while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
- Perform system updates, patches, and backups.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security.
- Support server deployments and infrastructure maintenance.
- Document system configurations and operational procedures.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
- Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) and system administration.
- Understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts.
- Experience with monitoring and backup tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or LPIC) are a plus.
- Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, or automation tools is an advantage.
