This role works closely with engineering, QA, product management, DevOps, and business stakeholders to manage release schedules, allocate resources, and ensure capacity and budget alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Release Planning & Coordination
- Develop and maintain detailed release plans, schedules, and timelines across multiple product lines.
- Coordinate cross‑functional release activities to ensure seamless deployment with minimal business disruption.
- Act as the central point of contact for all release‑related communications and approvals.
- Support budget allocation and budget planning for release activities, tools, and supporting resources.
- Track and monitor release‑related spend to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Identify cost‑optimization opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
- Manage resource allocation across release cycles, ensuring the right skills are available at the right time.
- Perform capacity planning to assess team bandwidth, identify constraints, and proactively address risks to delivery.
- Balance demand across multiple concurrent releases and priorities.
- Define and enforce release governance, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, go/no‑go assessments, and post‑release retrospectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate release risks and dependencies.
- Continuously improve release management processes, automation, and metrics.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and reduce release cycle time.
- Maintain release documentation, calendars, and reporting dashboards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in Release Management, Program Management, or IT Delivery roles.
- Strong experience with planning, budget management, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
- Hands‑on experience working in Agile/Scrum and/or hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with enterprise release management tools and CI/CD platforms.
- Knowledge of ITIL, SAFe, or other scaled agile frameworks.
- Prior experience supporting large, complex, multi‑team technology programs.
- PMP, ITIL, SAFe, or Agile certifications.
