1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting local leadership and employee teams within a multi-state geographic footprint, providing skilled administration and execution in a wide variety of human resources related areas including recruitment, payroll, HRIS, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, employee/labor relations, training, talent management, risk/compliance, compliance and special projects.

3.0 JOB DUTIES

  • Performs tasks associated with the operational aspects of HR within the Frankfort location.
  • Coordinates the recruiting process. Facilitates the timely hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, in accordance with company policies and objectives. Schedules interviews and screens candidates. May conduct interviews, as required. Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Fulfill applicant tracking and record keeping requirements.
  • Process weekly payroll. Ensures the accurate, efficient and timely processing of all new hires, terminations and other personnel changes. Maintain employee payroll and time keeping records. Research and resolve payroll related questions. Reconcile related accounts, organize data, prepare reports and analyze results as required.
  • Coordinates new team member onboarding process and works closely with hiring managers with a focus on successfully integrating and retaining associates.
  • Partner with local management and Environmental, Health and Safety Committee to promote and ensure reinforcement of company safety culture and integration of best practices to support workplace health and safety.
  • Recommend and implement revisions to policies, programs and practices as needed. Partner with the legal department to ensure compliance with all state and federal statutes, laws and regulations including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws, and regulations related to FMLA, OSHA, EEO and ADA.

4.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2) years of administrative experience in multiple Human Resources disciplines, including payroll, talent (recruiting), benefits, employee/labor relations, and collective bargaining agreement administration.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Flexibility, strong commitment to collaboration, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite
  • Self-directed and a quick learner with the ability to achieve results while working under the pressures of shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with employment laws of Pennsylvania preferred.

5.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

None

6.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT

Generally, works in an office environment but will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting in a manufacturing environment. May occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.

7.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Lift up to 50 pounds. Use of proper PPE is required including hearing protection while in the manufacturing environment.

8.0 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Hours of work will vary based on business needs.

9.0 TRAVEL

Infrequent, however, employee may need to travel occasionally to other locations as required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
