Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Credit Leasing Consultant to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential for full-time hire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leasing affordable housing units in compliance with state and federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple leasing processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lease units in compliance with LIHTC program regulations and property policies.
- Conduct applicant screenings, income verifications, and eligibility determinations according to tax credit guidelines.
- Prepare and process lease agreements, renewals, and other required documentation accurately and timely.
- Educate prospective and current residents on tax credit compliance requirements and policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, applications, and resident files.
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospects and residents, addressing questions and resolving concerns professionally.
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for occupancy.
- Meet or exceed leasing and occupancy goals as set by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in affordable housing, LIHTC compliance, or general leasing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
