Property Management / Housing Specialist

Location: Pittsfield, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM
Compensation: Approximately $50,000 annually

The Liberty Group is seeking an experienced Property Management Housing Specialist for an opportunity with a housing organization near Pittsfield, MA.

This is a great opportunity for someone with property management, public housing, affordable housing, or Section 8 experience who is looking for a long-term position. The property is currently transitioning from public housing to Project-Based Section 8 through RAD, so experience within a housing authority or affordable housing environment would be especially valuable.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will support the day-to-day management and leasing operations of the property, including:

• Property management and resident support
• Leasing and lease-up activities
• Managing and maintaining applicant waiting lists
• Processing and tracking tenant rent payments
• Preparing and issuing late rent notices
• Maintaining resident and property records
• Assisting with general housing program administration
• Supporting data conversion related to the property's RAD transition
• Working closely with property leadership to keep daily operations organized and running smoothly

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Public housing
• Affordable housing
• Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher programs
• Project-Based Section 8
• Residential property management
• Leasing or housing administration

Experience with HAB software is highly preferred.

Candidates do not need to be experts in every area. We're looking for someone with a solid property management or housing foundation who is organized, comfortable working with residents, able to manage multiple administrative responsibilities, and willing to learn.
