KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tax Preparers at AP Tax:
· Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals, small businesses, trusts, and estates
· Input data from financial records into tax return software or databases
· Complete and file tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state and local government entities
· Produce quality work, with quick turnaround and attentive service, including client follow-up
· Build customer relationships to promote and expand the business
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this position will:
· Have 1 to 2 years of tax preparation experience.
· CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation is a plus
· Be able to prepare personal returns with Schedule A, B, C, D, E and F and other various schedules as well as any required work papers or calculations
· Have experience preparing business, trust, and estate (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) tax returns. Plus, be able to prepare S-Corp and Partnership tax returns and all schedules of varying complexities
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during peak season
· Have experience with CCH Tax
Schedule: Monday-Friday (plus Saturdays from February through April 15).
Job types: Part-time, seasonal
