Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Foreman/Lead to oversee and coordinate electrical construction projects within the commercial and infrastructure sectors. As an Electrical Foreman/Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving project success through effective supervision, scheduling, and quality control. Your expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and safety regulations will be essential to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Lead and manage electrical crews on construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to interpret project requirements accurately
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management tools to optimize resource allocation
- Supervise daily operations, enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, and conduct site safety meetings
- Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client specifications
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, review contracts, and ensure all work aligns with project scope and budget constraints
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Primavera for documentation, tracking progress, and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising electrical or heavy civil construction projects with a strong background in commercial or infrastructure work
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and federal safety protocols
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and construction drawings review
- Proficiency with construction scheduling tools including Primavera P6 and Primavera; experience with construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable
- Strong crew management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with budgeting, estimating (including Construction estimating), and project management processes
- Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination, client interactions, and team leadership
- Ability to interpret technical schematics using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing when necessary
- Valid certifications in OSHA safety training; additional certifications related to heavy civil or electrical work are preferred
