What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Foreman position at A.T. Electric?
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead electrical crews on commercial and residental construction projects
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings
- Install, troubleshoot, and oversee electrical systems and equipment
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and project requirements
- Maintain jobsite safety and enforce OSHA regulations
- Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Conduct quality control inspections and address deficiencies
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians
- Complete daily reports and communicate project progress to management
Qualifications:
- Previous Foreman or Lead Electrician experience required
- Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical installations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in various jobsite conditions
Requirements:
- Must be reliable and able to work independently
- Must be willing to travel as needed for project assignments
- Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on project location and schedule
