Position Overview:
The Medical Biller will play a key role in managing and streamlining our billing processes as we transition away from an external billing company. This position is ideal for someone with strong healthcare billing experience who is ready to take ownership of billing operations in a home health setting.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of medical billing for home health services
Submit and track claims to insurance providers, including Medicaid
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues
Ensure compliance with all state and federal billing regulations
Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper coding and billing procedures
Assist in developing and improving internal billing processes
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of healthcare billing experience (required)
Experience with Medicaid billing, preferably in home health (strongly preferred)
Knowledge of medical billing codes, claims processes, and reimbursement procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
