The Instructional Assistant, Elementary School will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help.
Essential Functions
- Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Prepare age-appropriate materials.
- Help organize and prepare resources for students.
- Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environments within the classroom (ISTE Standards).
- Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
- Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
- Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with parents.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90-hour childcare certification preferred.
- Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
- Must be an active practicing Catholic.
Pay Range: $15, Hourly
