Tax Director- Trust & Estate

Location: New York, NY or Woodcliff, NJ | Hybrid

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and executors on complex Trust & Estate matters.

• Provide estate, gift, trust, and wealth transfer planning, including succession and charitable strategies.

• Review complex fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns and ensure technical accuracy and compliance.

• Research and advise on federal, state, and local tax issues impacting trusts and estates.

• Lead and develop the Trust & Estate practice, including identifying business development and growth opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships and participate in proposals and client presentations.

• Mentor and develop staff and managers while providing technical guidance and oversight.

• 10 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on Trust & Estate taxation.

• Active CPA or EA required; MST, JD, or LLM in Taxation a plus.

• Deep knowledge of fiduciary income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxation.

• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and estates.

• Strong technical research, tax planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven leadership and team development experience.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client advisory skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to practice growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax research platforms; ProSystem fx experience a plus.

• Ability to work in-office at least 3 days per week. Tax Director- Trust & Estate
