Senior Healthcare Account ManagerPosition Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Healthcare Account Manager to lead strategic client relationships across the healthcare sector. This role is responsible for driving business growth, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, and building long-term partnerships with healthcare organizations. The successful candidate will combine deep healthcare industry expertise with strong account management and business development capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for strategic healthcare clients.

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships built on a deep understanding of business objectives and operational needs.

  • Manage client expectations, project deliverables, issue resolution, and escalations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Build executive-level relationships and serve as a strategic partner throughout the client lifecycle.

Strategic Account Planning & Execution
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with client objectives and business goals.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, delivery, and technical teams, to execute account strategies.

  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, new services, and long-term strategic growth.

  • Drive account planning activities, business reviews, and customer success initiatives.

Business Development & Growth
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with market opportunities and client priorities.

  • Drive revenue growth through account expansion, cross-selling, upselling, and contract renewals.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client organizations.

  • Support new client acquisition efforts through strategic relationship development and industry networking.

Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Monitor healthcare industry trends, regulatory developments, reimbursement models, and competitive dynamics.

  • Use market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on industry insights and competitive analysis.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of evolving healthcare technologies, digital transformation, and market needs.

Performance Management & Reporting
  • Monitor account performance, revenue forecasts, customer satisfaction metrics, and strategic objectives.

  • Prepare and present executive-level business reviews, account updates, and growth plans.

  • Maintain accurate account records and client engagement history using CRM platforms.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen client relationships.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 8 years of progressive experience in healthcare account management, strategic account management, client success, or business development.

  • Proven track record managing large, complex healthcare accounts while consistently achieving revenue growth and customer retention objectives.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry operations, products, services, reimbursement models, and the regulatory environment.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive relationship management skills.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating complex client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting healthcare providers, health systems, payers, life sciences organizations, or healthcare technology companies.

  • Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level healthcare clients and strategic partnerships.

  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or equivalent customer relationship management systems.

  • Certification in Account Management (e.g., Certified Account Manager (CAM) or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Experience working in consulting, healthcare technology, analytics, AI, digital transformation, or enterprise software environments.

Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel as needed to client locations, executive meetings, and industry conferences.

  • Ability to manage multiple strategic accounts while balancing competing priorities.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across client and internal organizations.

Must Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
  • 8 years of progressive experience in account management or business development within the healthcare industry
  • A proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and achieving revenue targets
  • Deep understanding of healthcare products, services, and the regulatory environment
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
