Position Description: What You'll DoIndependent Design Leadership Lead detailed design projects in compliance with governing codes, regulatory requirements, and client standards. Develop comprehensive project scopes for proposals and awarded work while coordinating complex engineering studies.Technical Expertise Design, specify, and modify rotating and fixed equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and turbines. Review equipment drawings, develop P&IDs, and perform pipe stress analysis with advanced software tools.Mentorship & Guidance Provide technical guidance to junior engineers while managing project progress against schedules and budgets. Solve complex problems using modified standard procedures and innovative approaches.What You BringMust-Have QualificationsEducation: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited universityExperience: 3-15 years engineering experience, preferably petrochemicalIndustry Focus: Oil and Gas Production, Refining, Gas Compression and TransmissionTechnical Skills: Pipe specifications, equipment design, P&ID development, material selectionSoftware: CAESAR II, COMPRESS, FEA programs, Microsoft Office SuiteCertifications: Ability to obtain TWIC card, PE preferredEssential RequirementsStrong working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel and piping codes, API standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls.
Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration.
Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require.
Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.).
Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces.
Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces.
