Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our close-knit team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys multitasking, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable, including approvals, data entry, check processing, and mailing
  • Handle most Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing and recording receivables
  • Assist with General Ledger activities, including posting recurring entries and reconciling accounts
  • Allocate expenses across related entities
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and weekly check runs
  • Record investment account activity
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of cash, A/R, A/P, and G/L using industry-specific software
  • Maintain organized financial and historical records
  • Assist with monthly budget monitoring and annual audits
  • Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed


Administrative Support

  • Answer and route phone calls professionally
  • Monitor and respond to general emails and voicemails
  • Coordinate office mail and shipments
  • Organize records, inventory, and office supplies
  • Provide administrative support for meetings and company functions
  • Draft correspondence when requested


Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience (construction industry experience a plus)
  • Proficiency in Sage 100 or QuickBooks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish (Preferred)
  • Professional, dependable, and customer-service oriented

Location Requirement

  • Must be able to reliably commute to Washington, DC 20020 or plan to relocate prior to start date

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
