Antrim County Sheriff’s Department is now accepting applications for the full time position of Corrections Deputy.
Starting pay for non-certified Corrections Deputy is $20.64 an hour with a 10% increase once the candidate has completed the Corrections academy within one year. Academy is paid by the Sheriff’s Office. Certified Corrections Deputies starting pay is $22.94 an hour. Current Corrections Deputy wages increase to $27.11 after 3 years of employment with the Antrim County Sheriff’s Department. The position includes health, dental, life insurance, short-term disability, and pension. Shift premium for working nights. This full time Corrections Deputy position will require working days, nights, holidays and weekends.
In order to qualify for this position you must meet the state minimum standards, take the state mandated written exam and the physical abilities test. Information for the minimum standards and both of the tests can be found at http://misctc.org
These tests must be completed prior to interviewing for the Corrections Deputy position.
